Timi Dakolo fires back at DJ Timmy's allegations, threatens legal action

Gospel singer Timi Dakolo has responded to allegations made by disc jockey DJ Timmy, who recently accused him of owing money and threatened to expose alleged details about his private life.

In a statement issued through his lawyers, Whitestone Solicitors & Consultants, Timi Dakolo denied all the allegations, describing them as false, defamatory and malicious.

According to the statement, the singer had entered into a written performance agreement with Revolve Entertainment for a proposed United Kingdom tour. However, the event was never held because the promoter allegedly failed to meet key contractual obligations, including providing the agreed production requirements.

The legal team maintained that the agreement clearly stated that no deposit was payable to Dakolo and insisted he bears no contractual or legal responsibility for expenses incurred by the promoter.

The statement also accused DJ Timmy and Revolve Entertainment of engaging in a campaign of intimidation and defamation through repeated social media publications, including claims that the singer owed money and allegations concerning his private life.

Dakolo's lawyers demanded the immediate removal of all alleged defamatory posts, a public retraction, an apology within seven days, and a commitment to refrain from making further defamatory statements.

They warned that failure to comply would result in legal proceedings in both Nigeria and the United Kingdom against those responsible for the publications.

The response comes after DJ Timmy publicly accused the singer of failing to pay an alleged debt and threatened to reveal alleged details about his private life if the money was not paid.
